Personal poetry. All the I told you.
One page ripped
Another torn and thrown
All those lost letters
Just to make my love known
Your questioning gaze
And the shrug that follows
We’ve fallen into a habit
Now I know why I feel so hollow
Though I still don’t know why
I didn’t see it at first
I guess love can be blind
I’ll survive this, I’ve seen worse
Abandoning my own feelings
Just to act calm and lie
About every principled I’ve known
About every gaze and cry
I’m still lying
Wearing my fake face
The face of a girl
Who can set her own grace
