Sometimes you just have to realize there are no fairy tale endings in life.

The thought of you

Made me smile,

Your name brought butterflies

To my stomach,

But now I’m breaking,

Cracking,

And you’re no where,

I’m searching but I can’t find you,

Those butterflies now feel like bees,

I remember when I thought

I could finally have my own

Fairy tale,

Now I realize fairy tales

And happy endings

Belong in stories,

You put your own special crack

Across my already damaged heart,

Yet I can’t seem to get you out of my head,

Out of my thoughts,

It’s like you’re stitched in my every thought,

Like your laugh is echoing in my ears,

Your arms are still wrapped around me,

Like these cracks are cemented up,

And there was never any pain,

But then I remember and the cracks break through the cement.
