CREATION AND EDUCATION

God gave us eyes to appreciate the sunset,

But we ended up looking at a maths formula set,

He gave us ears to hear the chirping birds,

But we ended up listening to the teacher droning words,

He gave us noses to smell nature’s flora,

But we ended up in chemistry lab smelling ammonia,

He gave us tongues to taste different types of food,

But we are forced to bite them to prevent us from being rude,

He gave us hands to feel the rain on our fingertips,

Not to hold the thermometer as the temperature dips,

He gave us a voice to praise nature’s glories,

Here we are reciting monotonous English stories,

He gave us all this,

And other things too,

But we ended up in school-7 to 2!
