**in the spirit of halloween, a little food for thought**
*October 27, 2010*

Vampires,

Werewolves,

Warlocks,

Witches,

How is it,

That people can believe in ghosts,

But not these creatures?

Is it that those creatures strike fear,

More so than ghosts?

Or perhaps it is because they can physically hurt us,

with their own hands.

To be a creature of the night,

Never fully understood,

This is something we can all relate to,

At some point or another,

And yet we despise the idea,

Of something with extra-ordinary skills,

Of things that can acheive things we cannot,

If they are able to live in the world and not be noticed,

Why should we care so much to hate them?

Or perhaps it is not hate,

But envy.

We can foresee appocalyptic endings,

With zombies chasing us,

Yet we refuse to believe,

dark and mysterious creatures exist.

Maybe some one did invent them,

Maybe they aren’t real and just a hokes,

But if they are real,

I refuse to be the one that shunned them,

I refuse to be ingnorant,

I refuse to hate.
