Poem.

Crippled I feel in
This crippling state
Of conscienceness
The nothing of my
Being leaking out
My pores
The hell of past horrors
Have me within their
Grasp
Breaking free’s
No easy task
Staying coherient
Staying ’sane’
All gone
But she remains
Arms around me
But can’t feel a thing
But this crippling state
I’ve become trapped in
Screaming
But who
I don’t know that voice
The fear and the terror
Laced in that voice
Could it be
Is it she
Is it me
Myself that I’ve hidden
The scared child I’ve
Locked away
To keep her safe
From this crippling state
