A head-scratching poem.
A father has an heir that’s still a child;
A crocodile will want to steal this heir,
His swamp has been discovered and defiled,
So this is much more than a normal dare.
Can man outwit this crocodile’s rare pair,
Of jaws, and cunning, instinct, power, hate?
For now the crocodile asks him sans err,
Guess whether I’ll return your child then wait;
For if you’re right you’ll get your heir this date,
But if you’re wrong, he’ll suffocate in mud!
The father gives replay at a high rate:
“You lie, you cheat, you’ll not return my blood!”
With this the crocodile must now secede,
For he has made an error in his greed.
