A poem about a lost love, the end of a relationship leaving one shattered.
There is a pain so strong,
Every song on radio can’t possibly be yours
But they are!
Haunting!
Torturing!
Reminding me of someone so dear,
I was once near!
Life had become a gift!
A boon!
A reason!
A ray of the morning sun!
A divine shrine
Now a curse so numb!
This where another man
Now seeks pleasure
Which I cannot feel
I see him come to me
I smile and he smiles!
He is so happy,
If only he knew
I saw someone else,
Beyond what he touched!
Am I really sorry for him?
Or am I sorry that its too dead a feeling!?
I don’t know anymore!
It’s a doom
That I pray
Shall end soon!
Smoked and hazy
Blind but not deaf
Yet cannot feel of hear
But can see,
A heart that still beats
A heart that calls a name,
A heart that mourns shattered dreams!
Alas!
Faith failed
Through fingers it passed
Like fine sand
Like rain drops
Tears fell
A well of sunken dry eyes
I try to stop but I can’t!
Ruins of a castle,
A crumbling castle
Where life once dwelt!
But I live and I love
Withered for I have been forgotten!
Broken and shattered
Broken like a glass bottle!
Useless and unwanted!
To be thrown away!
To be crushed by the hands
Of a love I once knew.
The castle crumbles
Rubbles are the only witness!
