Crushed
Hey, did you hear about the girl
that seems to cry all night long?
She’s been hiding underneath
the poisoned covers
that cause her to hold in her pain.
She only wanted him to love her,
but he told her he had to leave her.
She was sucking the life out of him
and she wanted too much
too quick.
He wanted out
and now she crys all night.
She can’t stop her weeping.
Her heart is crushed.
It’s worse than that of crushed pineapple.
Her heart has been put through
the food chopper.
It’s been crushed like a tiny bug.
Honey to water,
she drowned in her sorrows.
She keeps wondering why, why, why?
She didn’t know she pushed too hard.
She had forced her love
and he only pushed her away.
So now sorrow overwhelms her
and her heart is empty, except for
the crushed jagged ice
that is tearing a hole in her heart.
So she’s been hiding under the covers
for weeks on end.
She wants to end herself
as she feels worthless
without him. She cries out in agony
for the false love
she once thought was real.
Yet, he didn’t love her really.
What will her future bring?
New love?
Or will she end it?
Is she crushed that bad?
