An accountant’s love story.

As I was walking along my life’s worksheet
I went over the time when this boy I met.
I didn’t know if he’s a debit or a credit,
So I posted him in my book of adjustment.

Cupid worked so cleverly and fast,
He didn’t leave me time for a trial balance.
My feelings flowed with interest rate,
There was no time left for an inventory of my fate.

He told me that I was in the ledger of his heart;
That no liabilities could ever throw us apart.
The love we kept became our capital,
That thru the years, there’ll be no withdrawal.

In his transaction, cupid succeeded.
Two hearts became one – these were the proceeds.
Incomes of love – be posted in the accounts title,
Be it love payable or love receivable – no case at all.
