I’ve been sitting here for hours,
Looking at a blank page,
Trying to come up with something,
Something that will spill out of my pen
and out onto these blank lines

Maybe some personal secrets
about the pain and suffering,
and the hurtful words that others say
Maybe honesty is the way to go,
Perhaps it will help this blankness go away

I close my eyes and try to picture
The perfect scene, to make the best story
But there seems to be nothing new to write about,
Or maybe it just won’t be that interesting

I’m tired of the clutter filling up what should be empty spaces
I need some clarity
Maybe then I could write something useful
Instead of the same old love/hate thing

I will take control of this,
and make it all better
Soon I will find something to fix this mess
and for the blank pages I will find a cure
