The following poem is from a collection of 41 written by me to try describing Huntington’s Disease (HD).
Big Brother (UK) is to end but I dare say it will be back one day and the producers will be looking for other ideas. Wouldn’t surprise me if they used a vulnerable section of society. Not that it could be argued all the contestants have been mentally stable already but with the motor function problems and social awareness problems already strained…
Big Brother
It’s 2012 in London Town,
The crowds all scream and roar.
It’s not the opening of the Games,
It’s simply Channel 4.
BB is now back on the screen,
And how it’s stooped so low.
The ‘House’ is full of HDPs,
Their plights’ a media show!
The pacing rooms relentlessly,
The outbursts of their rage;
The pulling hair and lack of care,
Like monkeys in a cage.
And yet the public still tunes in,
Will someone stop this thing?
A freak show for the masses,
But profit is the king!
