The animals were going crazy and so was his wife.

I have something strange to tell you
I know you think I lie
The cat was howling at the moon
The pigs were flying

The goats came up and milked the cow
The cow returned the favor
The old horse did the possum trot
The rooster laid an egg

You stop that horsing around said she
And cut out all that lying
Do you take me for a simple fool?
I’ll beat you with a noodle

Now when I think she can’t see
A quick route to the future
I stay behind thumb my nose
And beg for absolution

    Hey girl you go!

I’ve noticed in all your work great use of traditional rhyme and rhythm. I love it, because it’s rather refreshing as a style ever since free verse took over.
