Cyber-irony

Irony seems to be the rule of thumb,

Turning inquisitive minds oblivious and numb,

Instruments of help making man soft and dumb,

Oh, good heavens! Look at what we’ve become,

A species that feeds on instant gratification,

Creating a culture of abusers and destroyers,

Annihilating all that oppose our self-interest purpose;

Connected with physical and digital walls of division,

Ease of access becomes the best excuse for laziness,

Sedentary lifestyle; the definitive norm of today,

How can anyone be proud of such generational accomplishments?

Such are the ironic consequences of technology’s existence.
