Children learn by what they see.

The more a parent bullies a child

the more the child recoils

when parents punish harshly for

every little wrong doing

the child does

the child learns to resent

and rebel

when a parent uses punishment

instead of compromise

the child learns that punishment is

the only method to solve problems

that child grows up repeating the

same punishments on his own child

and the cycle of physical and emotional

abuse continues

our law officials act like bully parents

using prison for every little wrong doing

inmates learn how to resent and rebel

continuing the cycle of crime

to repay the abuses of the

criminal justice system

the cycle must be broken in order

to work

a parent who loves his child

punishes with love

a community that lives by the laws

of God

reaches  out to the lost in prison

I can relate. I was a severly abused child and if were not for my faith in God, I would be dead or in prison. I struggled through and came out okay.
