    I love this, it’s so important we never forget. My grandad was on the first wave of the D-Day Landings, he said it was the only time in his life he was afraid. Fortunately he made it but so many didn’t. Thanks so much for sharing.

    You are, without any doubt, one of my favorite writers. This poem says it in a nutshell. I’d like you to know that you are in some way instrumental in getting me inspired. There are many World War II poems. This one encompasses in a few words, the fact that what took place in Normandy, during World War II, was a great sacrifice with a happy ending. Thanks again for your friendship.
