"Starlight, star bright, grant this wish that I wish tonight."

From butterfly kisses to preschool years with ribbons in your hair; to fairytales and pony rides, to birthday parties and sunshine skies;

From matinées and grade school plays, to a future yet so bright; with sparkles in your eyes, you stand gazing; and with a breath I hear you saying:

“Starlight, star bright, grant this wish that I wish tonight: That all would see Your beauty, Lord, that is seen through Your people; in You we live and have our being, we are our brother’s keeper; that all the world could see a rainbow in the sky, that the world would live in harmony and love would never die.”

Down through the years you have grown so fast! With mom and dad’s attention; but this I have to say, my dear, you’re daddy’s little princess!
