Daily Grind could be a great name for a coffee shop. It could also refer to what go-go girls do, and the grind we experience at our jobs.
Daily Grind could be
A great name for a coffee shop
A person could imagine also coffee beans
Being ground by a mill, wheels, or stones
It could also refer to go-go girls
Rotating their hips doing a “dirty dance”
But it’s a different grind I see
Don’t let your imagination
Run away with you
I’m thinking about the grind
That we experience daily at our jobs
We get up early every morning
Shower quickly and get dressed
Have breakfast with a cup or two of coffee
Drive, bicycle, walk, catch the bus, or subway
And on our way we go
Traveling at times for hours before
Reaching our working destination
This happens during rainy, sunny, or snowy days
Once there, we punch in and the grind begins
Our jobs are mainly monotonous
Like many that shuffle papers
Having to be on a computer all day

Like those that do factory and manufacturing jobs
We say, “We’re not complaining.
We’re glad to work. It pays the bills.
Puts food on the table.”
The next day it starts all over again
Eight or more hours per day
At least five days per week
