Just a poem about waking up in the morning and going about a normal day. All the thoughts that one might be thinking of during it.

Parts of a dream left in my head,

As I’m stretching in my bed.

Start my day off with a yawn,

Rising at the crack of dawn.

Kick the covers off my feet,

Thinking what I want to eat.

Quickly gather clothes to wear,

Put them on and brush my hair.

Breakfast gone wasting no time,

I’ve got to go and chase that dime.

Kiss my wife and hit the door,

each day I think love her more.

Traffic on the way to work,

I’m cussing at some dumb ass jerk.

Get there and I start my job,

Working like some kind of dog.

Keeping busy makes time fly,

Making money to get by.

My back to sore to even bend,

By the time that work ends.

Finally home I kiss my wife,

Thankful she is in my life.

I listen to what she has to say,

As she tells me about her day.

When she starts to cook,

Around the house I take a look.

For things to do I find a ton,

Eventually they will all be done.

Getting done all that I can,

To do my part and be a man.

Wash my hands and get my plate,

Time for dinner with my mate.

Full and resting for a hour,

Before I jump into the shower.

Scrub the dirt from my body,

In hopes my baby is feeling naughty.

Once I set both my alarms,

I lay there with her in my arms.

Close my eyes and drift to sleep,

Its the life I want to keep.
