Poem about the dance of love, and the feelings of an old man to a little girl….

One day a little girl came by,

with a sparkle in her eye,

saw the old man sitting on a box,

he looked lonely and lost…

She smiled and asked,

why are you sitting here alone,

I’ve seen you here in the past,

why dont you go home…

The gray haired old man,

looked at her sadly,

then pointing at a door with his hand,

said he’d come to listen to a lady…

A lady with a voice of gold,

her singing made my heart shine,

it brought love to my soul,

haven’t heard her sing in a long time….

When she use to sing,

oh the happiness it did bring,

I would dance to her tune,

under the sun or the moon…

People would come and cheer,

throw money at my feet,

its been years,

when I use to dance on this street…

Many came from far and wide,

the crowds would push and shove,

their pleasures they couldnt hide,

as I danced the dance of love………..to be continued……
