Every mans dream.

Slowly gyrating

Advancing closer

Hips flicking high and low

Fast then, slow

Rhythm building up

A little faster each move

This dervish figure

Gyrating hips and body moving so fast

How long at this pace, could she last?

Intensely personal yet mystical dance

Put my heart and mind, into a trance

Music reaching a feverish crescendo

Faster she went, her muscles straining

Keeping time to the music, captivatingly entertaining

With a flourish and dash, ever so nimble

Tinkling sounds of her finger cymbal

Eyes unwavering never left mine through it at all

That was the day

My belly dancer came to call

    Conceited Poet.He

    If you believe in yourself
    You shouldn’t really bother.
Once a poet wrote to me,
I have a long, long way to go
    And
When I asked him how long,
    Neither did he know,
    Nor could reply me
    Why you want to know?
    He thought being cats whiskers,
    His saying shall glow
    Little did he realise
    He wasn’t a poet,
    I would want to know.
