Although the music tells me what to do,

The way I do it may not be for you.

Design and candor all have their place,

But when you’re dancing you’re your own escape.

Life may not have offered you all it’s riches,

It may not have given you enough to buy your britches.

Even though people feel you’re strange and different,

You dance your life without being reminiscent.

You take each step and build from each one,

A life of what you hope to be fun.

Life has no guarantees,

And the dance of life is different for you and me.

There are no easy ways to learn,

The steps are many and not easy to discern.

For what is right for you many not be for me,

And to refrain from judging is hard to be.

Love your dance of life and hold oh so close,

For in a wink of an eye it’s can easily become morose.

Who you are, or who you portray,

Dance for yourself and be happy every day.
