Saying Goodbye to an Icon.

Dark days have fallen

now that Leslie Nielsen’s gone

great slapstick has gone the way

of Bob Hope in a sarong

With no one left not named Shirley

and no one to save the Queen

Priscilla’s left unguarded

and O.J.’s not on the scene

So goodbye to you Leslie

a man who made me laugh

until the milk flowed out my nose

and I had to take a bath

We know that God is laughing

cause you’ve settled right on in

and started out with roasting

you’re comedic brethren.

I’ve never liked slapstick comedy, and Airplane was the first movie I ever walked out on, it was a long time ago, but I think it was a scene where the you know what hit the fan. Not my idea of funny.

But Leslie Nielsen was a great Canadian, this is a great tribute to him.

A nicely crafted homage to Leslie Nielsen.
May the man Rests In Peace.

Thanks Karen and Sharpedon, yeah, Leslie and, his work, were a little over the top; but, at least he had the unique ability to see the lighter side of the world. Thanks for reading.
