Love opened the light:

Dark the tunnels of loneliness

Oppressing and depressing the soul

A heart becomes encased in the concrete of solitude

Hidden away from the light

One chink in this dark place

Found by another’s enquiring mind

Opening from this tiny crack out into the sunlight

Mine was the dark and empty room

The one you brought the light into

Every smile a pearl that played upon your lips

Inviting me into your perfection
