Daughters listen to what I say

and remember every day

“you were born a female it’s true

but don’t let that mis-lead you”

men seem to think they rule the earth

because they were born male at birth

they may be able to rule and control

but stand up to them and be bold

you deserve anything they get

women haven’t reached there yet

men are no better in any way

then women no matter what they say

if God had intended it to be

he would had made women men’s property

but that is not the way it was meant to be

yet men still fail to see

that women deserve equal say and rights

without having to beg, sacrifice and fight

daughters you go on and be

anything you desire to be

the privilege does not only belong to men

who refuse to see where women have been

a boy child is no prize above

a girl child for God to love

we were all created equal as a human race

each born under God’s holy grace

;man was not given the right to rule

over women when they play the fool

husband and wife should be “as one”

anything less is left undone

daughters do what you have to do

to live a life that’s best for you

you were not born to be

a slave to man you see

you deserve your equality

to be all that you want to be
