DAWNING COMPREHENSION
Deceiving they said,were appearances,
Just another of life’s little nuances,
Evanescent as a bubble,ebbing away into nothingness,
of beauty it was said.

What if,someones face reminded you of the moon?
The stars,they twinkled like her eyes?
A smile,that could melt all the Arctic’s ice.
Is that momentary?Is that fleeting?

Of humble beginnings and rapid metamorphosis,
Of visions,past present and the future,
Of an insatiable thirst to succeed?
Of that unquenchable quest for life’s greater truths,
Is that all we share?

In you there was a genuineness i saw,
The desire to give up yourself completely,
Without any fear of ever being wrong,
A model of compassion,yes, you were that.

Yet,perplexed was i,in search of that why,
Why was it that i loved you?
Ruminating i was on this,when it came to me,
Somewhat like sucking on an eclair,
as one layer faded into another,something moved.
Inside of me it did,slowly,but inevitably,
Sweet it was indeed,like that eclair’s core,
Yes,it did dawn upon me,

Would I have been in your place,and you in mine,
things would have been exactly as they are now,
That’s why,I love you,forever and beyond…..
