Remembering another time and another place.

I heard a blue jay today and missed being where I called home a long time ago, Sunsets seemed brighter and it gave a hopeful glow. The wind in the trees spread the intoxicatingpine scent, Lovely sugar maple leaves scattered everywhere I went. Loons laughed as the mist hung over the lake and swiftly they took to the air, I daydream and alas, I know it gets me nowhere! Still, as I hear yet another  chickadee echoing through the trees in my yard; Realizing I can’t regain those years is terribly hard!

We can’t regain those old moments. We need to make new ones, fresh ones.

Very lovely imagery! Nice job. :) I like your comment, Katie, that we need to make new memories–very beautiful idea. Sometimes I forget that.
