When I wrote this I had the vision of a tiger catching its prey…
I see you there,
You don’t see me,
I hear you there,
You don’t hear me…
I move slowly, ever so quietly,
Invisible to the naked eye.
My feet steady, my eyes focused and intent,
Eagerly awaiting the moment…
My greatest asset is your vulnerability,
Unaware of my presence,
It’s now or never,
I make my move…
I spring toward you, with expert precision,
Knowing, every second counts,
Suddenly, your head perks up, as you glance my way,
You dart this way, and that…
We race till the end,
You yearn to live,
I have no mercy…
Your tired legs give in,
Eyes become glazed and fixed,
I carry you to my secret place,
Dinner is served!
