A poem written in the form of a letter.

Dearest Owen,

Witout any incline
of the outcome,
I write this with some
intention.

For many years our attention
has been for one another,
even with the bother
of a husband ana a wife.

My heart is in pain, the knife
digs deeper everytime
I see you.  A line
was drawn when we both married.

And when she carried
your child and, I, mine.
But as I write to you, how fine
it feels when we are together.

You will always endeavour
to be my soulmate.
O’ how I hate
to hold his hand.

I look at you, as you stand
before her.  My closest friend
and I follow the deadliest trend.

My heart pines for you
day-to-day, all year through.
I yearn for your touch,
O’ how I tremble with such
anxiety for your lips,
to meet mine.  The tips
of my toes would stand on end!

I dream you, I see you bend
down on one knee.
Only it is me,
I see above you.
It is her, who has you, true.

I love you with all my heart,
when did it start,
is what I ask you?
The day you threw
a ball too long
in high school and you saw my thong!

O’ how I smile about that day,
the day we became
best of friends and never a lover.
But now is the time I discover
how I really feel.

Just like my heart did spill
that day.

My undying love
Julia
