Poem of how a woman sat by candle light and hurting of a dying love.

As i sit writing this
i am by candle light
i watch the flames flicker
and know that so to does your love.
as the candle dies flicker by flicker
i know that i only want you more
i cry my tears morning, noon and night
and no candle can lift my spirits.
each flame is small and bright
and so once was our love only bigger
whilst candles burn slowly
it seems your forgetting me rather quick.
three flames, one for each month together
it felt like forever once
not it seems like a lifetime since we last spoke
the pooled wax gives memories of the candle
of you i now seem to be forgetting them.
i sit writing this by candle light
each burning for each month together
and each one slowly dying, melting away
just like what we once had.
i know these candles well
i thought i did you
i’m slowly loosing you because your loosing me
i can see the candles dying
but can you see our love slowly dying?
