Jeff Kennett ruled as an evil tyrant in Victoria from October 1992 till September 1999. Unfortunately his replacement, Steve Bracks, turned out to be almost as bad, something I didn’t realise the night I wrote this in September 1999.
The tyrant queen has fallen
From his lofty height,
The tyrant queen has fallen
Thus ends his evil blight.
“A great day for Victoria
A great day for the people.”
The tyrant queen has toppled
From his lofty steeple.
The tyrant queen has fallen
Jeff’s evil reign does end,
And with his own great fall
This broken state can mend.
“A great day for Victoria
A great day for democracy!”
Thus the evil gag unties
The people have the final say.
The tyrant queen has fallen
To the might of decency,
The tyrant queen has fallen
To his own complacency.
“A great day for Victoria
A great day for us all.”
This state returns to hope
At the tyrant queen’s great fall!
