I can not swim

but i still intended to jump

to drown out all the years gone by

rest the past under the tide

throw away my aching breath

let the stillness eat its way through me

be one with the nothingness

as i stand on the pier

the lonely walk of shame

a beautiful walk down death row

i thought my fate was sealed

not lost in thought

no reasoning made sense

this time was it, i was sure

dancing on the tip

the verge of ending noise

but you saved me

the first in a long line

my knight, you came

to retreat these acts away

and to this day you remain

locked here in my heart

chasing my demons away

Lonely walks of shame, how can you write a line so beautiful?

Thank goodness for knights…and for maidens for them to save.
