Death is an entity we can so overcome.

Death,
You’ve reared your ugly head again
Disguising not your attempts to hurt
It is vile the way you speed in, taking
That which, rather whom, we so love
It is with hatred of you I write this
The pain you now cause for those I love
The hurt they have, unanswered questions
I feel hatred for you, but wish you not death
For then I would become you
I then would be heartless and cold

I ask only that your swiftness was in kindness
And that no pain was felt upon his passing
Death, you may have won this time, again
But know that when we enter into our new lives
We will have the last laughs
