A positive side to all the recent bad weather especially the snow.

World outside of my window is scary
Too scary to get out and mingle
Faces scary, ragged, resemble clothes dragged through dirt
Increasingly claustrophobic though
Walls seems to be closing in
Surrounded by shed skin, dead trees and dirty clay platters and things
I gazed at the alternative through these window panes
Who needs television the real drama’s out here
The trees resemble hungry Ethiopian children
Stripped, bare bones, flaky skins
And here come the commercials
I’ve never liked these terribly slow McDonalds adverts
But then suddenly, the creator released a dollop of paint
Then a flurry that whitewashed the view
Everything that was seemingly scary has now faded to white
In it I saw a new beginning, a wiped slate
So I captured it and posted it on ‘Facebook’
As DECEMBER 31ST.
