A story I am writing more about each day, hope I can get some positive feedback on this.
It was night, and every light had been turned off, all except one. A two-story, red-bricked house yet gleamed in the dark. The house sat on the far corner of the street, on dirt rubble; nobody bothered paying the least bit of attention as to what took place in there. Wealthy business men and successful salesmen flourished the area, the bedazzlement fades as it progresses. It was like living in an ecstatic city on one end to living in a thriving rain forest on the other. Nevertheless, the family living in that house was happy.
“Zooooom”, an airplane flew around the room, picking up speed the farther it went. Finally, the plane crashed into a fine woven basket sitting on the floor, luckily causing no turmoil. A boy, nearing the age of 12 proceeded to pick the plane back up off the floor. The boy stood no taller than the average teenager with blue eyes and short brown hair. His short, stubby nose showed excellent correlation to his oval-shaped head; handsome to say the least.
“Crreeeek…”, his door opened.
“Johnathan Andrew Morris, I said lights out and I meant it!”, Mr. Morris said with coercing force.
“Dad come on, can I have just five more minutes?” John asked.
“No, that five minutes is going to turn into another fine minutes and so on…lights out means lights out. Good night!”, Mr. Morris replied as he flicked off the remaining lights in his red-bricked home.
“okay, fine, good night father”, John knew not to talk back to his father. John was out of options for fun, he decided it was best to give in and circumvent to a good night’s rest.
By the time morning came Mr. Morris was off to work, John had the house to himself and was fervent to make it count. Mr. Morris seemed to rectify every little mistake john made, but with him gone anything was possible. Most parents would never leave their children home alone at the age of 11. Mr. Morris was not your average parent, he had an ignoble perspicacity about the way he ran things around the house. Mr. Morris’s decisions developed John into what he is now. John has learned what most children learn at the age of 16; how to care for and besiege his own lifestyle from a mother’s standpoint.
“Dong…Dong…Dong”, it was twelve O’clock and time for John to head off to his afternoon classes.
