Love can hurt and can put all your feelings on red alert. It can feel like you have been punched in the gut. You have to decide to be happy instead of mad over the situation, because it won’t be the last time. Chances are, there will be others.

Why does love have to hurt?

When things are bad

It is hard not to feel sad.

All the nerve endings

throughout the body

are on red alert.

Everywhere is subject to feel pain.

It should be as easy as

getting out of the rain,

but nothing is easy,

just at times a little breezy.

Massively, the heart

can feel emotional pain,

unless you first go insane.

It is a monster that

comes at you in the night,

punching you in the gut

and kicking your butt.

You sob from the shame.

Your face is aflame.

Nothing will ever be the same.

The heart is deeply diverse.

A person can easily submerse

into the confusion and pain

that  can override the brain.

This is one of those times

that you must pick yourself up

by the seat of the pants

and commence to dance.

It isn’t the first time

and won’t be the last time.

So get to moving and drink some wine.

Celebrate instead of being sad.

Just decide to be happy and not mad.
