This is about the rainbow and its lovely hues…

The’ pathway of the souls ‘ that glistens
Resplendent in all colours bold on the cerulean expanse
The symbol of hope and promise of life
As depicted by Noah down the staircase of Time
The path that the messenger Iris takes from heaven to earth
The tongue of the sun that licks away
All the pain, grief and darkness after the storm recedes
The rainbow foretells the mood of the weather
What this unpredictable creature would don on the morrow
The rainbow is the bow of the thunder God
With which he shot arrows of lightening
The path across the horizons at whose end
Lies the elusive pot of gold, guarded by cunning Leprechauns
The omen of good luck that earth was safe from destruction
Or that of bad luck that destroyed if seen
A vicious serpent it is to some
To others a warning of Rain whose child died
The colours of the rainbow crow burnt by fire
Are now frozen on the rainbow’s face
It is the crown of the farmer god
Animals ascended the virgin rainbow formed
When the dark cloud melted in the sun’s heat
And once it was lost became constellation
Imprisoned in the alien land of the sky
The floating celestial bridge in the sky
That created for the escape of Veronica of good faith by Gods
It rises from the fountain of life
Next to the tree of mortality
The rainbow serpent sucks water in summers
Only to spit it out as rain of rejuvenation
Star crossed lovers symbolised by red and indigo
Chance to have a rendezvous only when rainbow shines
Painted on the cascade by playful bluebirds
From colours of the flowers
The rainbow first smiled on the waterfall of Nanobozho
The bough of the goddess of flowers refulgent in colours
Of all flowers that bloom in the meads of Bighari
A rainbow with mainly green hue brings abundance
And that with predominant red heralded war
Yellow if rainbow’s chief colour brings death
A child born rainbow day
Is the blessed child of good fortune
Every colour of the rainbow whispers a message
The violet is the colour of first tender love
Indigo the colour that breathes life into stars
And is the canvas that offsets the sheen of the silver moon
It is the colour of flowing imagination
Blue is the colour of benevolence and hope
Green is the colour of tranquility
The gown of abundance ,of bounty
Yellow is the colour of delight, of amiable laughter
Reminiscent of sunflowers, marigolds, daisies
Oranges is the colour of succulent oranges
The glow of the golden dawn on the vast azure sky
Red is the colour of love, of passion
This poem of colours escaping from Nature’s pallete
Is a delight to behold in memory
A symphony of colours, decoded forever…
