A gut-wrenching piece – based on personal experience of watching a loved one.

Formerly…

Proud and assured

self-sufficient autonomy.

Strong, decisive

motivated and purposeful

~~~
Finally…
Bowed and bemused
Battered and bruised
‘Til … broken
A shadow of himself
~~~

Threadbare

grip on reality.

Fading hope

lengthening shadows

on earth’s brief day

~~~
(and …. slightly over 3 weeks later)
~~~

Into light incomprehensible

and solace indescribable

entering that Presence

of Majesty & Love

    Nice. I guess you’ve found your inner peace, then.

    We all have to go from this earth one day, just as we came to it, although each in a different way. I wish we all remember this fact always and act accordingly

    As we say what comes up must come down, we are here for a brief period of time and everyone has to change his/her address when the Lord wants us home.

    After death of the human body comes resurrection of the soul.
