A poem written by a 7th grader – Although I was not old enough to be considered professional, it was written in a professional manner.
It was written to be read to the girl that I decided to marry on our wedding day.
Truly a must read.
We have been through the best,
we have been through the worst,
we have fought like the rest,
We stayed through much of the hurt.
We have smiled through some days,
We have cried through some nights,
We have promised each other together for life,
We have left one another in some of our fights.
We returned each time asking for love,
We both believe the other sent from above,
We ignore the obstacles place in our paths,
We forget all of the problems left in our past.
We come together hand in hand,
We will live together joined by a circular band.
We will say the vows much practiced before,
We enter our heaven behind our own closed doors.
We share the feelings bottles inside,
We will forgive anything when we never have tried.
We will whisper into each others ear our deepest wish,
We will begin all of our dreams with a simple kiss.
