I wrote this about depression which can be a constant battle if you so allow it to be. Depression can be dark as I intended the first of this poem to be, and I could define depression as a horror because in some peoples lives it is,always stuggling with yourself and your deep dark thoughts which can lead you to feel guilt, pity and so on until you become like an empty shell but there is a way out and only one person can truly help with that, the person who has it!

Shrouded by a veil of darkness
Morbid feelings
Sinking to despair
And through the mass
Of lies and deceit
Always the one thing
To seek defeat
In the distance
The ravens crow
On the gravestones
Row after row
The dark cloud comes
It feels no shame
The mass of destruction
It takes no blame
The fires of hell
Are calling to thee
Saying take your life
Set yourself free
In times of sorrow
A weight too great to bear
Negativity begins to seek
Rendered defenseless
Among the weak
Sinking into oblivion
Just like a rock
Rocks do not float
They sit at the bottom
Until someone pulls them out.
But be no coward
Do not walk away
Face up to the problems
You have today
Stop living in the past
Stop dwelling on the strife
And one day you will find
Your no longer living
A negative life
