Poetry in the form of a metaphor.
It glistens in the light,
Rainbows bouncing off it’s side,
Thin, but tolerably bright.
We smile when it is given a bride,
A consumption of all good things,
One knack for love,
Happiness and emotions it brings,
In the pride of a lion cub.
Our lips move along to it,
Expanding all words in harmony,
Though we sought to hate a bit,
But as helpful as a pharmacy.
Joy to the heart,
In one single, delicate ring,
Filling itself life a grocery cart,
And helping us sing.
Listen to it’s rhythmic ways,
Hope for new opportunities,
Listen, and let it make you sway,
But not so you’re a dog with fleas.
