Delicate Spiders Web a poem by Jennifer Jo Fay. A poem of nature. Poems for the soul. Poems of inspiration.

Delicate Spiders Web

Charlotte spun her gorgeous web,

and she thought to herself

about her dreams and desires.

She loved her life

and she spun it well.

Eight pristine legs

danced and twirled.

Her strands of love

spun her web of intricacy.

Charlotte dreamed and

had no time for sleep.

She thought of the children

that she would bear.

Shasta, Linia and Juju Bee

and many, many more.

Charlotte thought of lovely juicy

bugs that she could catch

in her beautiful lair.

Charlotte got hungry and

she needed to fuel.

And finally when her web was done,

there came the day

where she would die.

Charlotte began to cry

as she knew she would never

see her children grow.

But as she thought,

she knew that her lovely web

would get passed down

and shine on a new tomorrow.

And Charlotte passed.
