A poem I wrote.
Demon
By:Greg Anthony
The effervescent glow of the light
that thou make’th thee burn my eyes
red like fire with the minds solomn vow
the gargantuan demons which crawl over their prey
towering high above the minds of the meek
Not to be fooled by the rivers gurgle which
all alone goes no where
I had wanted to make it go somewhere once
I had wanted to make the clouds convex
to convey unto thee mind
like the rotting corpse whose decaying body
still seems to have life
as the lonely maggots eat away carelessly at a creature that was
Ignoring the mute protests of the trees that sprout anew
from dying souls the residents make home
In an new vessel the flowered urn do’th lifts my misery to show me
the relief and thus bestow upon this unworthy soul a dream called happiness
