It was no accident we met again 
But a twist of fate 
Which put us together again 
Now I’m reminded that everyone changes 
And that life tends to push us along 
Life is not easy or fair 
If it was we would all get along 
But thats how it goes 
When your past catches up with you 
There is no place to hide 
No where to push it aside 
All to often it causes too much pain 
Especially the parts you hid away 
Pretending the hurt went away 
Never did it though 
And seeing you again 
Brought back too much 
Too many thoughts 
Things I’d tried to forget 
Now I need to make peace 
With my past 
In order to make my life 
Maintain it’s own course
