This song / poem was written after my grandmother passed away. I was on the computer typing one of my compositions when I felt a presence around my body. I couldn’t see her, but I knew it was her.
Depression Stays In Tears
from the moment of dawn
I felt your hand
to the time of rebels
I share your blood
I see my soul
inside your eyes
with the moon that shines
like your kitchen knives
unveil my eyes
the window to your soul
I hear you call my name
with the sound of a howl
as the tears unleashed
from your eyes
like the sun
the moon shines like your eyes
I miss the touch
of your sheltering arms
as the tears come down
from my eyes
I hear this hole ripping
like the sound of exploding stars
the sun rises out
from beneath the Earth
and I feel your heart
beneath my skin
the sun rises high
from around the Earth
and I feel your soul
around my skin
the simple glow around me
to the edge of the Earth
come out from the closet
you say
and tell me
what brings you here
silence fills the room
as the smile emerges
memories, unfold and remain
for just one day
