A homeless man descends so low.

Image via Wikipedia

He didn’t really want to show his face,

wandering from place to place,

he had no dreams,

as life took its toll,

and he’d steadily lost his self-esteem,

and he had no goal,

he was homeless,

harmless,

and he descended so low,

no place would welcome him,

so he had no place to go,

his heart cries,

and he’s a derelict in everyone’s eyes,

lost his good standings in his town,

now he walks,

always looking down,

people talk,

chatter,

but it doesn’t matter,

he doesn’t hear a sound,

no loved ones,

or friends around.

Sad, but truly great poem. Good one on a sad reality!
