Detached

How is it that everything seems so calm?

Life goes on without any change of heart

As I look out from inside nothing’s changed

The world hasn’t stopped because of my pain

But I have to carry on

I hope I can make you proud

Cause it’s all over and I can’t find myself in the crowd

All their words make no sense, don’t match

And I feel so detached.

 How can it be that my friends still laugh?

They think I’m laughing too but I just can’t

Why would I want to feel like that again

What’s the point now why should I pretend?

I’m so still but I’m finding it hard to see

I don’t feel like I belong here without you
