Did the girl fall or was she pushed the question

from the motorway bridge?

As fast moving traffic was brought to a halt

nearly creating a crash!

She was hit by several speeding motor cars

above millions of blinking stars!

Police closed three lanes they needed answers

attending such scenes too often!

So young it was a waste of another teenage life

witnesses said they’d seen a group!

On the bridge before the darkness closed in

now the investigation must begin!

Ambulance crews respectfully removed the girl

when the forensics had finished their tasks.

Each felt deeply these incidents were cruel

an unavoidable part of their duties.

A microscopic search was then undertaken

to be sure evidence was not mistaken!

Miles of traffic tailed back into the distance

diversions were put in place.

As the daunting task to clear the scene went on

people could only observe!

Hours passed before the main road was was cleared

those at the rear loudly cheered!

Investigations eventually concluded it was suicide

the girl was only seventeen!

In our society it has become too common situation

as the young find pressures hard!

Too often scared or ashamed to seek the help required

losing life’s spark the will to live expired!

It’s so tragic to hear another young life lost!
