Sometimes it’s hard not to feel discouraged.

Sometimes I feel so discouraged,
I don’t know what to do.
I try not to give up on hope,
but I no longer know which way to turn.
I wonder if I closed my eyes,
would the pain finally go away?
Or am I doomed to always,
feel lonely, sad and blue?

The best thing about a good poet, she is able to search out things with words in different forms. You do that so well.Just the examination of this topic sent me a sign of hope from you within your material. So much can be given in a short poem.

Thanks, Darla. We all experience feelings of discouragement and despair, as these are essentially parts of our existence. But a good thing about a poet is that he/she can bank on those emotions to create wonderful pieces.

Cheers, my friend, and God bless.

When you feel discouraged, and question everything you’ve been telling yourself it always feels like you’ll never have peace of mind again. You know you will again, that you just need to weather the storm. But, it feels like you never will. Ihate that feeling. I loved the way you presented this though. Good job.

Hopefully, no, you won’t be doomed to that. I don’t believe anyone is doomed to that, but that time will reveal to us all a painless reality of understanding an hope, but that’s me. This is very clear and lets the reader understand fully the intent of the author. Michael

I agree, but it seems we do always make it through back into the sunshine. I hope today is filled to the top with sunshine and goodness for you.
