You’re grabbing thin air.

When you reach out

And your loved one isn’t there

You’re grabbing thin air

Out of my reach

Few things have been

Finally when they are – what happens then?

Today I’m disoriented

Halfway between everything I am and

Every thing I am could be

My disorientation has put a hold on me

And I’m seeing flaws for the first time

Reaching for straws at the worst time

Kicking my tires, re-treading my life tit-for-tat…

…And like my tires, I was all pumped up

Ready to go & now I’m flat
