The distortion of professional journalism has penetrated all levels of society giving its audiences experiences in public relations, news heavily influenced by the military-industrial complex, and having a partisan flavor.

Journalism has become

The brunt of commercialization

Behind this move

Is the push for corporate profits

- – -

Press freedom

Is not what it used

To be

And editorial independence

Is threatened

By these developments

- – -

Mass media is consumed

With partisan journalism

And the journalist’s vision

Is impaired

- – -

There’s a reliance

On heavy government

And other official sources

As opposed to news entities

Own investigative work

- – -

All these things have led

To the stifling of legitimate debate

While everything

Has taken on

A public relations flavor

- – -

Contemporary news

Appears to be in favor

Of the establishment

With undertones for the pre-imminence

Of the military-industrial complex

- – -

Inevitably, standards

Are not what they used to be

And some persons are detecting

Instances when the truth

Is routinely being sugar-coated

i absolutely love this and agree 100%. Tweeting it as we speak! “And the journalist’s vision Is impaired” – this is the one point you and i disagree on – I believe the journalists vision has BECOME the news – impartiality (and dressing like a professional) are both things of a more honest past! Thanks!

I sometimes think being ‘politically correct’ has stolen our voice. There seems to be a fear of truth; it might hurt someone’s feelings. While we continue to see the decline in our communities.

Journalism standard should high as it used to be. It’s unfortunate that the advent of the internet has lower journalism quality.

Even kids know not to trust everything they hear on the news.

Most of them take it as just another profession, that is the reason. Most of all ethics and morality are lapsing in all respects.
